ESSENTIAL DETAILS

SCHOOL REGISTRATION:

The 2024 campaign is now open for school registrations. All schools need to complete a new 2024 registration even if they have taken part in a previous campaign. Only teachers or principals can register their schools.

SHOE DONATIONS:

You can start collecting shoes anytime that suits your school, starting today! Please see all our helpful school lesson plans, posters and signs on our website’s resources page.😊

COLLECTIONS:

From Monday 22nd April you can let us know you are ‘collection ready’ on our website. Our courier partner will be collecting the shoes direct from your school door. Once we know you are ready, collections can take place any day from Monday 29th April until Friday 10th May. Final date to let us know you are ‘collection ready’ is 30th April.

Important: If you decide to run the campaign in your school before the 22nd April, you will just need to store the shoes until our collection request form is live.

We could really do with your school’s support in donating pre-loved sports shoes!

Check our map to see if your school is already registered to donate...if you don't see your school, let them know! They can then contact us, register and get involved!

WHY SHOULD YOUR SCHOOL
TAKE PART?

Our Shoes can give these preloved shoes a second-life on very grateful township children’s feet in Southern Africa, facilitating them to go to school and gain a life changing education.

Pupils will learn about the lives of children less fortunate than themselves in other parts of the world and help them to understand the real value of giving and gratitude.

By taking part in this campaign your school will be supporting an initiative which takes on fundamental global issues such as climate change, recycling and reducing inequality.

CAN you INCLUDE our SHOES
IN THE SCHOOL CURRICULUM?

We have a free lesson plan and curriculum integration ideas available below on our resources page which you can download and use in conjunction with the running of the campaign.

Produced by teachers just like you, it targets all areas of the curriculum and channels UNICEF’s Rights Respecting School’s ‘Children become active and involved in school life and the wider world’. It’s a great way to help your schools tackle big issues and empower children through their own acts of kindness.

SEND A NOTE

In previous campaigns some children have left notes for the children who will receive their shoes. It’s really thoughtful and creates a genuine warmth from both sides. If your child would like to join in, once they have written their note or drawn a picture, please pop the note securely inside the shoes.
